This poster was designed to invite people to a warm and cozy one-time jazz night event. The concept is intentionally kept simple, with just the essentials, the date, time, location, and instruments that capture the spirit of jazz. Because this is a one off show, the design avoids overwhelming detail and instead focuses on creating a clean, eye catching impression that communicates the mood instantly.
The muted green brown background paired with soft pastel tones for the instruments evokes a sense of intimacy and warmth, while the bold lettering ensures clarity and visibility. The font choice plays a crucial role here, the slightly vintage, angular typeface not only enhances legibility but also mirrors the playful yet sophisticated rhythm of jazz itself. Its bold strokes stand out against the muted background, guiding the viewer’s eye without distracting from the overall harmony of the design.

This project celebrates the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival through a poster design that combines traditional cultural elements with a modern illustrative style. The concept centers on themes of reunion, harmony, and festivity under the full moon, symbolized by the vibrant dragon, which represents strength, prosperity, and protection in Chinese culture. The poster features a traditional pagoda and temple rooftops framed by swirling clouds, capturing the festival’s spiritual and communal essence. The color palette of deep navy, gold, orange, and jade green evokes both the richness of Chinese heritage and the warmth of lantern-lit nights. By blending traditional architecture, mythical imagery, and stylized clouds, the artwork not only honors cultural tradition but also creates a visually striking identity for the 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival.
